Tony Stewart Live Returns for a 2nd Season

WoooHoooo! I cannot wait for the show to start up again, this probably the #1 season I got a Sirius radio!

Tony Stewart Live Returns for a 2nd Season: “

For the Tony Stewart fan that enjoyed listening or calling into Tony’s SIRIUS radio program, you can rejoice. The critically acclaimed talk show, Tony Stewart Live is returning for a 2nd season starting Monday, February 4th, 2008.

The show, hosted by Tony Stewart with co-host Matt Yokum, has a new time slot / night moving from Tuesday nights last year to Monday nights from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm ET. Be sure to mark your calendars, phones, digital assistants, email and other nefarious calendar methods so you don’t miss it as it hits the satellite waves on SIRIUS NASCAR Radio, Channel 128.

“It’s hard to believe we’re already starting our second year on SIRIUS,” Stewart said. “I felt more and more comfortable with each show last year, as Matt and I learned something new every time we hung up the headphones. Our second year on the air will be even better. Our rookie ‘stripe’ is officially off. The show is a great way for us to connect with NASCAR fans, and really, fans of any type of racing. It’s two of the best spent hours of my week.”

Stewart is a two-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion (2002, 2005), one of only 15 drivers in the history of NASCAR to win multiple Cup Series titles. In addition to his achievements on the NASCAR circuit, Stewart is the first and only driver to have won championships in stock cars, Indy cars and in USAC’s Midget, Sprint and Silver Crown divisions.

I might just have to listen

When Tiki Barber played for the Giants I was a fan of his, was being the keyword here.

After he retired and started talking outside the locker room I lost all respect I had for him. Rule #1 in all of sports is what happens in the locker room stays in the locker room, I believe Tiki broke this unwritten rule.

Then add to that his public criticism of Eli Manning. Being a fan of the Giants and knowing many other Giant fans we all had things to say about Eli, but hey that is the price of playing for the Giants. We love our football and Eli didn’t appear to be the answer. However, Tiki had no place saying the things he did. Tiki must forget he was famous for fumbling the football, who helped you with that problem Tiki? I don’t recall any of YOUR teammates criticizing you publicly.

I have refused to listen to “The Barber Shop” at Sirius. Tiki and his brother Ronde have a show that is on Tuesday evenings, I have had NO DESIRE to listen to this show. My feeling it would be more Eli and Giant bashing from Tiki and quite frankly who can be bothered to listen to it.

Now this morning, the day after the Giants win the NFC Championship game, I find myself maybe just having to listen to what Tiki has to say. Will he change is tune? Or is he going to make up some more criticism of Eli and the Giants? We will he give them the credit they deserve? They did go 10-0 on the Road and beat Tampa Bay (who Ronde plays for), Dallas, and now the Packers. Everyone has to admit they came pretty darn close to beating the Patriots the last game of the regular season.

I think now Eli has proven himself, he can win the big game…he can get his team to the Super Bowl. One thing I have noticed about Eli and maybe a few others have as well. He seems more relaxed and under control. Prior to the playoffs he seemed jumpy in the pocket and at times out of control and making some really bad decisions. Though now it appears something has happened..not quite sure what it is…but when Eli takes the field I do not feel that sense of urgency or panic that I have felt several times before.

I just hope that continues on into the Super Bowl, I think it will.

    Turn That Music Off!

The new routine for Colin and I is to listen to Sirius on our way to school / work. Each of us, Carrie, Colin, and I, have preset channels. We use the Band feature of the radio to keep them separated.

This morning Colin and I jump into the truck and I switch to his favorite channels. You know the kid channels. He yells to me “Turn That Music Off!!!” I asked him “you want me to turn off the music?” his reply…. “Yes, put the racing show on”

I was like SURE, MY PLEASURE! So we put the NASCAR channel on and the Morning Drive is on. Colin asks “Is that Tony’s other friend talking?” I said “yes Colin, that is Tony’s friend”. Colin then says “I like this show.”

Yep I am one proud Dad today!

So I am a HUGE a NASCAR fan and an even bigger fan of Tony Stewart

A few weeks ago I sent a picture of my son Colin to the Tony Stewart Show on Sirius.

For Christmas my wife got me Sirius, and of course I was so excited to be able to listen to Tony’s show. This morning I decided to check out the shows page to see what time it comes on. For some reason I thought it was 9pm but after talking with my brother in law he told me that he was pretty sure it came on at 8pm, and it does.

Anyway while I was on the page I was looking at the photos and guess who made it! YES! my son Colin’s photo from his birthday is now in the gallery!

You have to scroll down to the bottom of the page to see the photos, this is so AWESOME!
